Real Success In Amway?

Success is subjective. Someone making ten dollars might be considered successful, for others, nothing less than a barrel of cash will suffice. One other important point is that there are undoubtably some very successful people in Amway. I am sure that some Amway diamonds are quite well off and enjoy some of the finer things in life. But the reality is that these successes are very very rare and many of these success apparently are not sustainable as many people are led to believe.

But the bigger issue in the Amway opportunity is where the success comes from. Sure, many people want to "go diamond" and live in luxury while barrels of cash roll in. But what is unknown to many, is that the few who enjoy the lifestyle and trappings do so at the expense of their downline. The downline move the volume and the downline purchases the system materials, both of which is profitable for the upline. Because Amway products, admittedly are not commonly sold to people who are not IBOs, then anyone can conclude that upline success comes from the pockets of the downline. Most downline would be better off writing a check for $100 each month to their upline and not participating in the business or buying products at all.

This in itself would not be such an issue if the system actually churned out new successes frequently AND if the downline were not led to believe that the system is the key to their success. But less than one half of one percent of IBOs ever reach platinum and out of those who do, only a tiny fraction of one percent ever attain the diamond level. But the business has tens of millions of people who tried and could never achieve what was promoted. Lack of effort may be a factor, but when that many people try and fail, it's evident that the system is flawed as well.

To summarize, it is possible for someone to achieve a level of success in Amway, but it is so difficult and so rare that IBOs probably have a better chance of winning the lottery or being struck by lightning than they do of achieving a significant level in the Amway business. Some people are successful, but it is usually at the expense of their downline. The catch is that uplines will teach their faithful downline IBOs that attending a function or buying a standing order is success, regardless of whether an IBO is earning a profit. So many IBOs think they're successful but they are simply fooling themselves with the help of their upline.

Success is undeniable, but sadly for the vast majority of IBOs, it is also unattainable, at least in the Amway opportunity.

You know, here in New York the various state and city lotteries use the following come-on line to get people to buy tickets: "You have to be in it to win it!"

Amway could use the exact same line easily -- as with a lottery, the chance of hitting it big in Amway is infinitesimal. But you certainly won't hit it big if you don't join! So join Amway, and take the plunge.

I see lots of poor people in my neighborhood buying scads of lottery tickets every day. But at least the officials who run the lottery aren't lying to them about their chances. You have a slim chance to get rich, and nothing more.

It's different in Amway, where your up-line is lying to you week after week, month after month, and year after year, telling you that "success is just around the corner," as long as you keep shelling out cash for products, tools, and functions.

Amway is a criminal, immoral rip-off.

The thing's a total scam, Joe. Who the fuck would lend a quarter of a million bucks to some unknown broad in Singapore?

Joecool said...

LOL, I know but I scam bait people at times just for kicks.

Joecool said...

That's right. People buy lottery tickets knowing their chance of winning is nearly impossible. But still, people win the lottery. In Amway, it's not a game of chance, yet the results are similar to a long shot random game of chance. How sad is that?

The upline lies and keeps lying so their faithful will do whatever it takes to buy that next cd or attend that next function. In other words, upline lies so you will do whatever it takes to keep giving money to upline.

I wonder what the diamond's finances actually look like when you subtract business expenses? I suspect they are middle class people who pretend to be wealthier than they really are.

If spending $300 - $400 just to get 100PV and a $10 check. Why not apply a cash back credit card? It runs from 1% - 5% cash rebate on purchases.

Also that your upline is a wolf in sheep's clothing waiting to devour their downlines

Joecool said...

Yep, get a cashback credit card and there's no minimum purchase to get money back. On my American express card, I got back $300 last year. That's WAY better than $10 a month for spending $300 a month in Amway.

And I have no business expenses with a credit card.

Upline is a wolf is wolf's clothing if you know what to look for.

I was leery of this at first, but when she said he was a GOD fearing man, with GOD all in caps, well, how could it be anything but legit? Hahahahahhahaha!!!

Joecool said...

Yes, she SAID he's legit so why would anyone question it? LOL

I am so amazed that ignorant people uses the internet to influence people with their un-informed views about this business and businesses in general. You genius, are you working for yourself or are you working in some good big company, who determine your income level, who determine your leave, you earn your money by just sitting in your chair doing nothing? You genius, how many in your company or people working for you or with you are top managers, are earning top income, how many of your informed friends you pulled down to your level are not making a living, because they were in the Amway business? How many people can you offer something to eat from your ill informed views. You genius, can you tell the world that you do not buy any products from your local shop, can you tell the world that none of your local shops ever failed to stay open? How many people in your organisation work very hard, get to their big dream of being a manager, an entrepreneur and failed to stay in business because of restructuring in their good jobs or their business that just did not get up and running? In your job you are getting promoted just because of... or was it because you have invested in yourself many hours and study material to better your knowledge, you never have had any situation that somebody was promoted into the position you wanted? How many jobless people are in your country, how many jobless, highly educated people are there in the world, who have spend many thousands to get educated. You genius, can you even try to offer many people any income, or can you perhaps sponsor needy organisations, like the red cross?
I am a proud Amway business owner. I have been in many jobs to try and make a living, just to get retrenched and to find a new Job, this business will not fire or retrench you if you stay with the rules, many people quit their realistic jobs, highly educated people quit their so called good business, so will it be in any business, this business are helping so many people to have an income. Many people register into the business and does not do anything except paying for their products and training material and then telling the world that they have lost so much money?? I am 1 year in this business and already earning money. With hard work any person on planet earth can have a better life through this business, but 95% of people will always listen and belief in moronic information, and then quit the opportunity that could give them income. I am buying my products, and pay for my training materials and earn double what I have spend. You genius, do you get anything back from your local shop where you buy your products, can you tell the world that after all the years you ever equal or better your income from your expenditure on your products and your studies? I am already earning twice my expenses, thus the information you are giving to the world is totally incorrect. You are so right that there are realities, your moronic reality against the real thing. How many people have lost their money in the recent downfall of the world economy, how many businesses are out of business today and Amway still growing by the day. How many of your local shop owners are now rich because of you and your fellow un-informed living creatures supporting them and this is ok with you and all of them, but because this organisation helps millions of people to have a better life, you can influence the people that could make a living from this business. Can you provide for the many you influenced negatively any income?

I'm glad you are a proud Amway business owner. You claim to be earning twice as much as you spend on products and tools, but you don't say what that is. I sense you are completely bull shitting us because you would have to be at a pretty high level to earn twice your expenses. More likely you're a fairly new IBO who believes in the lies that your upline told you about the Amway business.

Your statement that Amway helps millions have a better life is bullshit. Amway has only 3 million IBOs worldwide and most of them do nothing. Out of the rest, most of them earn nothing or lose money because of business expenses.

Yeah there might be a handful of diamonds making some money, but they do so because you buy products and training materials from them.

In other articles on this blog, I've shown where Amway is actually a financial drain on IBOs overall, and collectively, IBOs suffer losses so a few can live the diamond lifestyle.

Of course, you are free to return and prove that you actually make money. Not a single person has ever done so on this forum.

Try applying for a job at multinational companies and show them your resumé containing your amway experience and see what it gets...

This Anonymous who posted on Dec. 29 at 3:22 AM is the same South African ambot who put up the identical message on another recent thread here. He must be desperate to express his rage against Joe Cool and this website.

Isn't that typical of Amway freaks? They go on and on about being "non-negative" and "hopeful" and similar over-hyped "Think Positive!" bullshit, but when you actually criticize them openly and point out the flaws in Amway, they lose their temper and start to rant and rave about how evil you are for preventing people from fulfilling their "dream."

Let's state it plainly: If this guy from South Africa is the best that Amway can do to defend itself, the intellectual level in Amway must be pretty low.
