Amway - WWDB: A House Of Cards Falling Apart?

When I was an IBO, I was in WWDB. I was told that they were the best LOS, the fastest growing, with the best leaders. We were told to look at the fruit on the tree, that surely, that was proof that WWDB was the best. At the time I believed it all. Afterall, my upline diamond was one of the fastest to achieve that level and things were looking up. I had heard of recent functions where there were over 50,000 in attendance at the Kingdome in Seattle (at that time). We were told that nobody made a cent of profit from the functions and other tools. That upline used proceeds to make functions better and cheaper for IBOs. It all sounded like a great organization and I was certainly going to be rich if I only followed the system and their great leaders.

Well, after a year, I quit. Not because I could not build the business, but because my upline became overbearing, demanding that I submit to him, giving me bad advice and he was also unable to answer when I asked why I achieved the level of 4000 with the proper parameters but was not making any net profit. There was no incentive to spend all my time and money building a business for no profit and I quit. My upline's advice of dunping my finacee' to focus on Amway also contributed to my decision to quit. After I quit Amway, my life got back to normal until one day I happened to stumble across a website called Quixtar blog. It was then that I realized how many lies I was fed and how badly our uplines had taken advantage of downline IBOs.

It seems that the WWDB house of cards started tumbling with a couple of WWDB diamonds
having homes foreclosed. We later saw a blog post indicating that a WWDB triple diamond was in bankruptcy proceedings. That was followed by Ron Puryear's river house going up for sale, followed by the listings of other WWDB diamonds who were selling their homes. It is true that they may be selling the homes to liquidate some cash or to downsize, but in a bad housing market and if the homes were paid for in cash as many a diamond claims, then it seems like an odd time to sell. Of course it could also be that Amway in the US is shrinking and with less sales and fewer IBOs, there is less tools income and Amway bonuses, thus perhaps some of these diamonds simply cannot afford these homes any longer? Toss in a prominent WWDB diamond apparently divorcing and rumors of a couple of WWDB diamonds moving to form their own systems and you can see gaping holes in the WWDB system.

It has been my contention that many diamonds are possibly living in heavy debt because even with a decent income, their excessive lifestyles as portrayed in functions, simply cannot be sustained unless they have other major sources of income. In fact, since a large portion of a diamond's income is from annual bonuses, a diamond's monthly income may be relatively small. In any case, it appears to me, that WWDB is on shaky ground and some of their hypocrisy is being exposed. They apparently built a house of cards and now it may be falling apart.

JoeCool your blog is falling apart like a cheap house of cards. All you do is re-write story after story. I don't know why anyone would read or believe the crap you post on this blog. You suck and you should do something better with your time instead of bashing an opportunity for people to improve their lives and finances. Why can't you just quit already?

I guess my question to you is why you would bother to read and comment on a blog with a story that "sucks". Methinks the truth hurts and you are hurting reading this about your beloved LOS.

anon, BITE ME!!!

Improving their lives & finances? How?

1. By spending their discretionary income on being core?

2. By buying overpriced products? (don't forget shipping!)

3. By pretending to become better people when the only reason they want to be better people is because they think it will lead to them being a millionaire?

Looking for financial freedom? Move along....it ain't Amway.

Plus the Amway reputation blows goats.

I love how you guys say that Amway isn't an option to build financial freedom but you stop short of offering other options. But when cornered you'll start to suggest things like 'get a second job at McDonalds, cut grass, don't do Amway to save your money, etc' Oh, boy, life must be hard for you!

Joecool said...

Amway is an option to build financial freedom, but it's a piss poor option. Most people are much worse off for joining Amway, By the way, care to name anyone who achieved financial freedom from Amway who isn't names DeVos or Van Andel?

What's better than Amway? Well, since most people lose money in Amway, staying home and watching the Simpsons while picking your nose is a better financial option than Amway. But saving a portion of your paycheck and investing regularly is a better option. A second job is also a good option. Amway is like a second job where you pay for the priviledge of working.

Joe, leave Amway alone. It's not for you. Amway is only for serious people, not people looking for a job.

Anonymous said...

serious people look for jobs! =P

Anonymous said...

yes they do, only to get fired and then be fired up to start looking again for that J.O.B!

Joecool said...

And mostly incompetent or dishonest people get fired from banks right anon from Canada?

Anonymous said...

me? I don't need a job, thanks! i got better things on my mind!

Joecool said...

Oh, so you're collecting welfare payments?

It's so amusing when IBO's "fight back" about your blog...it's actually sad really....because for one they're wasting money, possibly welfar money lol....but most importantly, they CAN'T prove you wrong Joecool, and their pride defense mechanism is that they start writing comments like "bite me" and "Me? I don't need a job, thanks! blah blah blah" haha!

Keep doing what you're doing Joecool...You speak the truth and it's blogs like this that will SAVE people money from the GREED that occupies WWDB.

The one concept amway diamonds never mention from stage?

Scale back your standard of living! Amway is all about greed and focusing on 'having it all' leads to financial ruin.

It's O.K. to drive older paid-for cars. I'm not ashamed to do it. I sleep well knowing I don't have a car payment.

I don't have to drive a damned Mercedes to feel like I have the right to breathe oxygen.

Doesn't the Word tell us to be content wherever we are? The so-called religious teachings from stage, they tell you to demand the best of everything. The diss the husbands who cannot afford to give their wives their every trinket.

That's disgusting. We need to be the best stewards possible of the income our husbands or husbands & wives together bring home.

I don't give a crap what the Jones' have. I'd rather have a tuna sandwhich at home (paid for, by the way) than lobster on a credit card.

Amway sold $10,000,000,000.00 products in 2012 of which $4,000,000,000.00 was paid back to the sales force in bonuses. It was not paid equally to the millions of Amway sales people but to the top performers. All real estate sales people or car sales prople are are not paid equally. Most are not paid anything because they don't sell anything. The top sales people make millions because they sell millions. Amway is the same way. Whiners who make no money always blame the system or their upline for their quitting, never themselves.

aw go suck some rotten eggs!

sounds like you just had a bad upline, but dont take a poor upline and your unsuccessful attempt to not quit out on Amway. if you do research its a very legit biz. get over your self

Joecool said...

Yes, WWDB was a bad upline. Sad thing is that the others are just like them.

When someone signs up in Amway (regardless of sponsor) they are not usually a successful business person, but this seems like a way they could succeed in the business world and live the good life! So, with high hopes and dreams they get in and start working toward their goals. The poster here is to be commended since he made it to the 4000 level (but we don't know if that's a solid business or he bought his way up, I'll assume it was hard work success though). That level is just the beginning of profit, but most of that should be reinvested for growth. This is where most folks get discouraged. Any start up business person will tell you it takes thousands and thousands in debt to get off the ground. Amway offers a way for a few hundred dollars to get going and be successful and debt free. Most folks want to start spending profit instead of growing the business. At 4000, you should have a successful business with no debt. What more could you ask for? That's phenominal! Then you have the opportunity to grow that successful business into something really great, but you quit??? No debt (if you followed the WWDB teaching) and making profit (to invest in growth) and you quit?? Let me give the poster a bit of a reality check here. Successful business people rarely fall into greatness, it takes years. That is why the reward at the top is so great. You proved WWDB was a success, but you quit. That's up to you. As far as the fiancee' advice, hard to believe unless you were living together unmarried. If you were, God is the one who says no, not WWDB. A successful (traditional world) business man said to me once, "If you aren't willing to sacrifice your life, your wife, your family and house to be in business, then you shouldn't be there!" What a refreshing example WWBD is to actually teach success in life while building a business. That way when you get there, you have "Good Success"! I wish you all the best!

Good point

uh...WHAT?

It's hilarious how people put so much anger in putting a company down. People get so emotional because they can't become successful in building themselves a business. Obvious, JOE-COOL is bitter because he FAILED and GAVE UP.

Joecool said...

Say what? I"m not bitter at all. But I did realize that Amway was a scam.

BTW, how much are you losing running your Amway business?
